ALICIA SCHERSON was born in Santiago de Chile in 1974. After graduating as a biologist she studied filmmaking in the Escuela de Cine de Cuba, EICTV and then received a Master in Fine Arts from the University of Illinois at Chicago. Her first feature film "PLAY" was shot in Chile and premiered in 2005 at the Tribeca Film Festival in New York, where it received the Best Director Award.
