Three Bears at the Berlinale

BODY, IXCANUL and EL BOTON DE NACAR win awards at the Berlinale 2015

Three films from the competition of this years' Berlinale will be released via trigon-film in the coming months in Switzerland. We are very happy, that all of them could also convince the international jury chaired by US director Darren Aronofsky. In addition, Chilean director Patricio Guzmán was awarded with the Price of the Ecumenical Jury.

The award winners are:

Małgorzata Szumowska, Poland
SILVER BEAR for best director
with feature film BODY

Jayro Bustamante, Guatemala
SILVER BEAR ALFRED BAUER PRIZE for new perspectives in cinematic art
with feature film IXCANUL VOLCANO

Patricio Guzmán, Chile
SILVER BEAR for Best Script
and PRIZE OF THE ECUMENICAL JURY
for his documentary essay EL BOTON DE NACAR

We congratulate the filmmakers and their teams for their outstanding movies. They observe life around frontier to death (BODY), give us an understanding of a distant daily life (IXCANUL VOLCANO) and ponder the difficult topic of political prosecution with poetry and wisdom (EL BOTON DE NACAR).

The cinema relese is planned for this year.
