The Franc is an impressionistic tale of a down and out street musician who entertains vivid, rich dreams of wealth and fame after he purchases a lottery ticket. There is little dialog, as we spend a lot of time in the inner thoughts of the main character.

The Little Girl Who Sold The Sun is a deeply touching story of a young, disabled, uneducated girl from the wrong side of Dakar's tracks who decides to help feed her family by selling «Le Soleil», one of that city's leading daily newspapers. She has a ferociously strong spirit and meets every challenge with a dazzling smile that obliterates any pity would one would have for her, given her disabled status and gender. You know she will be OK.
